What to Expect
Jane’s Walk NYC is an initiative of New York’s Municipal Art Society that seeks to connect people of all backgrounds to our city’s rich urban history. From the Harlem YMCA at 180 W 135th St, New York, NY 10030, we will travel south towards 125th as we explore landmarks related to Jackie’s life in New York. This is a walking tour which will take place over mostly flat terrain. As we walk, we will stop to ask questions about the built environment and connect Jackie’s career to his fight for racial equality.
