Join a museum educator for a guided, interactive museum tour introducing participants to American icon Jackie Robinson through rare artifacts, dynamic interactive media, and rich historical content. Through the tour and small-group scavenger hunt activity, participants will learn about Jackie Robinson as an athlete, activist, family man, and more. The experience wraps up with a hands-on art activity.

Group size: We can accommodate groups of up to 50 participants (including youth and chaperones). We recommend a ratio of one adult per seven youth participants.

Program Fee: $200 for groups of up to 35; $300 for groups of 36-50. A deposit of $25 is required to book.

How to Book: Reservations are self-service online. Select the “Book Now” button, choose a date and time from the calendar, add the booking fee of $25 to your cart, complete a brief information form, and complete the checkout process.

Two Confirmation Emails: You’ll receive an initial confirmation showing $0 balance due and then a second confirmation email with the updated outstanding balance based on your group size.

Lunch Policy: If you need to bring lunches during your visit, our recommendation is to plan on eating lunch at one of several parks or outdoor locations nearby the Museum. In case of inclement weather, we will do our best to accommodate lunch on-site, but this option is subject to space availability and may have limitations based on group size. Let us know your needs on your booking form and our staff will be in touch to confirm.

Preparing for your visit: There is no pre-requisite instruction required for this program. If you would like to introduce Jackie Robinson prior to your visit, you will receive a set of Jackie Robinson timeline booklets in the mail and we encourage you to check out the “Classroom Resources” section of the School Programs page. It has discussion questions, Kahoot! quizzes, and more to help introduce your students to Jackie Robinson.

If your desired dates are not available, request a self-guided visit instead.

Looking for reservations during the school year? We’ll post the schedule for Jackie’s Legacy, Your Leadership later in the summer.
